FEED OUR VALLEY: Family helps others and teaches their child the importance of giving
A family is teaching their child to give to those in need from a young age.
Lindsey Capal and her husband moved to the valley from Dayton a few years ago. She saw there was a need for what the Second Harvest Food Bank provides so she thought she could teach her son Chase the importance of helping others by doing her part to help Second Harvest.
She's named her efforts: Chase's Food Drive. Lindsey has set food drive boxes at coffee shops around Mahoning County, like the Starbucks in Canfield and at all the Stone Fruit coffee locations.
Chase, who is two, helps any way he can. They gather all of the food donated at the coffee shops and deliver it to Second harvest.
Lindsey and Chase are just two people of many who help make Second Harvest such a success.
