Two current NHL hockey players with ties to the Mahoning Valley are being considered for the United States Olympic Hockey team in 2022.

J.T. Miller who plays for the Vancouver Canucks,  attended the East Palestine schools from kindergarten through 10th grade.

Kyle Connor, who's with Winnipeg played for the Youngstown Phantoms from 2012-2015.

So far only Austin Mathews, Patrick Kane and Seth Jones have been named to the Olympic team with the rest being announced in January.
