Boardman product Linsley nominated for NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year award

LInsley was also nominated last year as a member of the Green Bay Packers.

Boardman product Corey Linsley is one of 32 NFL players nominated for the 2021 Walter Payton Man of the Year award.

One player from each NFL team is nominated and Linsley represents the Los Angeles Chargers. Last season he was nominated as a member of the Green Bay Packers.

"The Walter Payton Award is the league's most prestigious honor and the 32 men represent their many teammates who do incredible things in their communities, " said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

All 32 nominees receive up to a $40,000 donation in their name to their charity of choice. The winner of the Walter Payton Man of the Year award receives a $250,000 donation to the charity of their choice.
