WARREN, Ohio - Fire investigators say the fire that burned down a multi-use structure on Griswold St. NE started in the back room where a man was living.

Warren Fire Chief Ken Nussle says a man was found Tuesday when fire crews and investigators went back to the scene to survey the damage.

The state fire marshal's office was also on site Tuesday investigating. Nussle says it's likely they won't know the exact cause of the fire.

He says the man had some electrical issues in recent weeks, was running a few space heaters and a boiling plate in the room. The area was also heated by propane.

Nussle says all of those factors are possibilities along with the fact that the man was a known smoker. He was the only person unaccounted for following the fire.

The Trumbull County Coroner's office is expected to release more details on Thursday.

The building housed a mechanic, a business that bought and sold items online and the man who worked on furniture.
