Bond is set at $1 million for a Youngstown man charged in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found near a gas well in Hubbard Township on Thursday.

Devonte Douglas, 25, was arraigned on a murder charge in Girard Municipal Court on Friday for the shooting death of Adreionna Hasley-Crockett.

Dispatchers got a call that a woman had been found shot in a car parked at a gas well site off Seifert Lewis Road shortly after 10 a.m.

21 News counted 17 evidence markers near shell casings around the Chevy Malibu.

According to dispatch logs, a woman called 911 saying her friend had been shot and that she didn't think she was breathing.

The caller told dispatchers she had been kidnapped by a male and was taken to an address on Dogwood Lane in Youngstown but was able to get to her car and drive back to the scene of the shooting, where she called 911.

Douglas was arrested in Youngstown when he showed up at police headquarters attempting to release a vehicle from an impound lot.
