A Warren man who has been in jail since July after being arrested for molesting a Youngstown teenager has been handed a six-to-nine-year sentence for his crimes.

Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge Wyatt McKay on Wednesday sentenced 39-year-old Leroy Gibson Jr. who pleaded guilty earlier to rape, two counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, and five counts of gross sexual imposition.

Gibson was arrested by Warren police after a 17-year-old boy went to police headquarters in July to report the incident.

Judge McKay also declared Gibson to be a Tier Three Sex Offender, requiring him to register his address with authorities when he completes his sentence.
