YOUNGSTOWN - The man who allegedly shot at a Youngstown police officer Sunday afternoon is being held in the Mahoning County Jail on a $66,000 bond. 

Tawhon Easterly, 43, was arraigned via a video call with the Youngstown Municipal Court around 1:30 P.M. Monday. Details of Easterly's bond were not immediately made available by the court.

Charges of felonious assault, burglary, obstructing official business, obstructing justice, carrying concealed weapons, having weapons while under disability and discharging firearms within city limits were all filed against Easterly Monday morning.

According to police, Easterly shot at an officer near a Dollar General on the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue Sunday afternoon. Reports said Easterly ran away from officers on foot. He allegedly broke into a nearby home to escape officers, but was later arrested inside. 

Easterly will have a preliminary hearing next Monday, March 28 at 9:00 A.M.
