YOUNGSTOWN - Youngstown Police have responded to a number of reported shootings over the past few days.

Officers identified the man as 23-year-old Carlos Urribari-Soto, and arrested him without incident.

A second incident was Thursday afternoon, just before 1:15 p.m. Police responded to reports of gunfire on South Heights Avenue. The witness who called police said she was asleep when she heard between 30 to 40 gunshots outside her home.

When they arrived at the scene, police found shell casings and several bullet holes in the witness's home and car.

About 5 minutes after police were called to South Heights Avenue, they responded to another report of gunfire at a home E Avondale Avenue.

Police say they discovered around 20 shell casing in front of the residence, alongside a drum magazine with live rounds.

A neighbor told police there was loud, continuous gunfire from down the street. Police say the neighbor also observed a silver or white car driving down the street with gunfire coming from the passenger side window.

Police then attempted to gain entry into the residence to see if anyone was injured. At this time, the homeowner returned home and told police there was a man inside the home. Upon entry, that man was found uninjured.

A fourth incident was a few hours later on Youngstown's south side. Reports say that police responded to the 800 block of Cameron Avenue just before 7 p.m. Thursday. That is where they found a 31-year-old man laying on the ground with two gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

Police interviewed a witness after the Cameron Avenue shooting, but no arrests have been made.
