MAHONING COUNTY, Ohio - A candidate running for the Democratic seat in the U.S. House of Representatives 6th District has withdrawn.

Shawna Roberts has withdrawn from the race Monday afternoon, meaning that any votes cast for Roberts during the early voting period or any votes for her Tuesday will not be counted.

The Mahoning County Board of Elections has printed out signs that will be placed at every polling location across the county notifying residents that Roberts is no longer running.

Roberts has not given a reason as to why she dropped out of the race at this time.
