After over one week in the hospital due to a stroke, Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor, John Fetterman is out of the hospital.

According to the Associated Press, Fetterman, who is the Democratic nominee for the PA Senate Race was admitted to Lancaster General Hospital on May 13, where he remained until Sunday, May 22.

According to the Associated Press, the stroke was caused by a clot in Fetterman's heart beating at an irregular rhythm for too long. Doctors were able to get his heartbeat back under control.

During his time in the hospital, Fetterman was declared the winner of the Democratic Senate race in the Pennsylvania primary election. He will go up against the  winner of the neck and neck Republican race between Dr. Mehmet Oz and David McCormick.

A Republican winner has not been declared at this time.

For the time being, Fetterman will continue to rest per his doctor's orders.
