The Trumbull County Combined Health District office on Chestnut Avenue in Warren will be open again on Tuesday following Monday's closure due to staff illnesses, according to an email from the district.

A statement issued over the weekend announced Monday's shut down due to a high number of employee illnesses. Monday evening's COVID-19 vaccination clinic scheduled at the Niles American Legion was also canceled.

Health officials did not respond to a 21 News inquiry about how many employees were ill or the nature of the illness.

A follow-up email from health officials announcing the resumption of office hours on Tuesday also included a message encouraging anyone visiting the health district office to wear a mask.

In addition, the district asks anyone showing any signs of illness, to refrain from visiting in person and instead either call or email their office at (330) 675-2489 or
