UNITY TWP., Ohio - A driver was lucky he wasn’t seriously hurt when his car careened off Route 165 in Columbiana County early Monday.
State Troopers say the car failed to round a curve in Unity Township near Heck Road at around 8 a.m, striking a guard rail, went down an embankment, and rolled over, landing on its wheels in a creek.
The East Palestine Fire Department and EMS, along with the New Waterford Fire Department were called to the accident scene.
All the car’s airbags were deployed and the driver, who was wearing his seatbelt, was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The patrol cited the driver for failing to maintain control of his vehicle.
