Man arrested in connection to February shooting death on Youngstown's west side

Officials say Weaver is being charged with the February 21 shooting death of 22-year-old Lamar Reed.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A Youngstown man allegedly connected to a shooting on the west side was taken into custody Tuesday by U.S. Marshals.

Marshals arrested 38-year-old Robert Weaver Tuesday morning at a home on Russell Avenue on Youngstown's west side.

Officials say Weaver is being charged with the February 21 shooting death of 22-year-old Lamar Reed.

Reed was found dead in the road at the intersection of North Belle Vista and Donald Avenues.

Detectives determined that he was shot in that area.

Weaver was taken into custody without incident.
