Mahoning Valley - Communities across the Mahoning Valley are celebrating Independence Day with parades, runs and other events.

Below is a look at some events happening in the Valley Monday:

  • Austintown: Annual 4th of July Parade: Monday, July 4, 12:00 p.m. on Raccoon Road. Starts at Big Lots and will go up to Austintown Fitch High School.
  • Columbiana: Fireworks in Firestone Park: Monday, July 4 starting at 8:00 p.m. at Firestone Park. There will be many activities throughout the day including skydivers, multiple eating contests, a paper airplane flying contest sack races, tug-o-war, a flag hunt, a water balloon hunt and of course fireworks. 
  • New Castle: Pearson Park Independence Day Celebration on July, 4 with fireworks at 10:00 p.m. Pearson Park, 179 Pearson Park Dr., New Castle, PA. 
  • Niles: City Appreciation Night on Monday, July 4th. Vouchers redeemable for up to four (4) free tickets are available to Niles residents for the Mahoning Valley Scrappers vs. State College at Eastwood Field. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. with a fireworks display immediately after the game.
  • Struthers: 4th of July Parade at 12:00 p.m.
