19-year-old Cortland man charged with possessing explicit nude photos, videos of children
A 19-year-old Cortland man has been charged with 18 counts of possessing multiple sexually explicit photos and videos of nude children - ranging in age from two to six years old, according to the indictment.
Logan Bettcher was charged on 18 felony counts including 6 counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance, second-degree felonies; 3 counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving minor, second-degree felonies and two counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance, both fifth-degree felonies.
According to the indictment, Bettcher allegedly had explicit images and videos of young children that were not his or in his custody, dating from August 16, 2021 and November 17, 2021.
Bettcher was booked into the Trumbull County Jail Thursday and has an arraignment hearing set for Monday, July 25 at 10 a.m. in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court, with Judge Andrew Logan presiding.
