NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has appointed former New Jersey Attorney General Peter C. Harvey to hear the appeal of Deshaun Watson's six-game suspension, according to ESPN.

Peter C. Harvey has served as the New Jersey Attorney General and is now a partner at the Paterson Belknap firm in New York.

Harvey has also served as a federal prosecutor. He has experience in criminal law, including domestic violence and sexual assault.

According to multiple reports, the NFL is seeking a suspension of at least one year.
