A former Sharon man has been sentenced to 57 months in prison for committing firearm and ammunition crimes.

Thirty-three-year-old Le'Var Brown, who currently resides in Eastman, Georgia was sentenced to 57 months in prison and was also ordered to serve three years of supervised release after his sentence.

In early October of 2021, Brown possessed three guns including a loaded Romarm/Cugir Mini Draco semi-automatic pistol and corresponding ammunition at his home in Sharon, and at his girlfriend's residence, also in Sharon.

Previously in 2018, Brown was convicted of a felony heroin and crack trafficking crime and had also been convicted of other crimes in the past.

This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, a program bringing together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to reduce violent crime and gun violence, and to make neighborhoods safer.
