Warren fire crews battle two vacant house fires just blocks apart

WARREN, Ohio - Warren fire crews responded to two fires at once just blocks apart from one another.
One fire took place at a home on Parkman Road, and another took place on Mason Street. Firefighters on scene tell 21 News that both homes were vacant at the time.
Warren Fire Chief, Ken Nussle tells 21 News the call for the first fire on Parkman came in at about 1:30 Thursday afternoon. During the battling of that fire, a second fire broke out on Mason.
Firefighters tell us that the home on Parkman caught fire years ago and had been vacant ever since. Crews say there were no utilities inside the home, so State Fire Marshals will be called to investigate the cause.
Additionally, Marshals will likely be called for the second house fire as well due to the home being vacant and being in such close proximity to the other fire.
At this point, it is unclear if the two fires are connected in any way.
