Opening statements were delivered Tuesday in the trial of a Warren man accused of murdering a woman and abandoning her body.

Police believe Antuan Parker, 43, is responsible for the shooting death of 32-year-old Desirae Boss.

Boss's body was found in a wooded area near Pershing and Choctaw Avenues on October 2nd of 2021. She was reported missing by family members prior to the discovery.

A woman walking her neighbor's dogs near the woods found the body and reported it to police. The woman told police that the night before she discovered the body, she saw two SUV's stop in the area.

The coroner's office said Boss had a single gunshot would to the head.

Parker was arrested and charged the following month for his alleged role in Boss's murder. This past June, Parker plead not guilty to charges of aggravated murder with a firearm specification, gross abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence, and having a firearm under disability.
