The Ohio State Highway Patrol has identified the victim of a deadly hit-and-run accident along Interstate 80 in Hubbard Township.

One lane of traffic was  shut down along eastbound Interstate 80 in Hubbard Township as authorities investigate a body found along the highway at around 7 a.m. by a passerby who first spotted a shoe on the road.

Troopers say a man, later identified as 28-year-old Tyler Estep of Masury was putting gasoline in his car when he was struck by an unknown commercial vehicle near the Lewis-Siefert Road overpass at around 7 a.m. Wednesday.

The Ohio Department of Transportation reports that the right eastbound lane of I-80 is blocked due to a crash. ODOT crews are placing signs in the area so troopers can investigate.

Eastbound traffic was backed up in the area at 7:30 a.m.
