BROOKFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Police are searching for a suspect after officers from numerous jurisdictions were led on a chase that ended with a vehicle getting stuck on railroad tracks.

Vienna Township Police Chief, Bob Ludt tells 21 News that the chase originated in Lordstown with the suspect simply being described as an "unwanted person."

Chief Ludt tells us the pursuit went through Warren Township, Vienna Township and Brookfield Township before the suspect's vehicle got stuck on railroad tracks on Merwin Chase Road. Ludt says the suspect exited the vehicle and fled on foot.

21 News crews on scene noticed the suspect vehicle parked next to train tracks in a wooded area. (Pictured below).

 

Officers with the Lordstown, Brookfield Township, Vienna Township and Warren Township Police Departments, as well as OSP and Trumbull County Sheriff's Deputies were all involved.

Authorities are currently searching for the suspect and Ludt confirmed that K9 units and OSP aircraft are on scene.
