CALCUTTA, Ohio - Certain areas of Calcutta are under a boil alert until further notice.

Buckeye Water District Superintendent, John Gentile tells 21 News this is the result of a water break over the weekend. Gentile says crews fixed this overnight on Sunday.

The boil alert is from Old Route 7 to 141 just past Beaver Local High School.

Residents affected should not use or consume water from their faucets and instead use bottled water for cooking and boiling.

Gentile says he expects to know when the boil alert will be lifted by Tuesday afternoon.
