Ohio Turnpike reports increase in E-Z Pass usage for first quarter of 2023
The Ohio Turnpike has reported an increase in drivers using E-Z Pass during the first quarter of 2023.
According to a press release from the turnpike, combined E-Z Pass usage from both passenger and commercial vehicles traveling on the Ohio Turnpike was 76.3%, which is 0.5% higher than the same three-month period in 2022.
Over the same three-month period on average, 64.7% of passenger vehicle customers used E-Z Pass, which is a 2.3% increase from last year, and 90.8% of commercial vehicle customers used E-Z Pass, a 1.1% increase from last year.
Passenger vehicle customers traveled 358,256,615 miles during this three-month period, which is an increase of 8.9%, and commercial vehicle customers traveled 283,196,274 miles, which is a 2.8% decrease.
Over the same period, passenger vehicles made 7,900,957 trips, a 5.6% increase and commercial vehicles made 2,940,798 trips, a 3.9% decrease.
