Mercer County Board of Elections had a small problem with some of its absentee/mail-in ballots recently, as the ballots had no ovals for voters to fill in their choices.

According to the Mercer County Director of Elections Thad Hall, approximately half of the 40 ballots mailed out to voters on April 19 were missing the ovals beside the candidate's names.

Hall said that the approximately 20 misprinted ballots have been replaced for voters that notified his office of the issue.

Hall added that other printed ballots have been checked and were fine, and said that ballots for the May 16 primary were not impacted by the misprint.

If you received a ballot with no ovals, you should contact the Mercer County Board of Election at 724-662-7542 or 724-962-5711.
