The Poland Library will be shutting down temporarily starting Monday May 1 in preparation for a construction project.

The library will be closed for one week, reopening on May 8 in a limited capacity in the lower-level meeting room.

Upon reopening, guests will be able to borrow a limited collection, request materials from other branches, pick up materials on hold, return books, sign up for the library's summer reading program or register for a library card.

The work taking place will include replacing carpet, painting and a refreshed and updated look inside the building. The work is expected to begin in June and is expected to take several weeks to complete.

The Friends of the Library Bookstore will remain open during this project.
