Three Valley Sheriff's Office will be receiving funding from the state for their drug task forces.

Mahoning County Sheriff's Office will receive $102,129.87; Trumbull Sheriff's Office is getting $93,735.36 and Columbina County Sheriff's Office $78,811.78, the funds can be used to investigate drug trafficking organizations; to disrupt the drug supply through intelligence gathering, information sharing, and multi-agency coordination.

The grants are part of the Ohio Drug Law Enforcement Fund and will be given out to 44 local law enforcement agencies to help their drug task forces to combat illegal drug activity.

“No one knows better than local law enforcement the effects that drugs have on their own communities,” said Governor Mike DeWine. “This funding will support our local authorities as they work to take drugs off the streets."

Grants can also be used to support local work to help drug overdose victims and their families through education, support, and treatment options.
