NEWTON FALLS, Ohio - A Newton Falls man has entered a plea deal in a child endangerment case involving him and his wife.

According to court employees, 29-year-old Kyle McElravy pled guilty to two amended counts of attempted endangering of children, a felony in the fourth degree. The third count will be dismissed at sentencing.

No sentencing date has been scheduled just yet. Court employees tell 21 News a pre-sentencing investigation has been ordered.

The charges stem from an incident caught on video of McElravy abusing a five-year-old boy, repeatedly striking him in the head with an object.

McElvravy's wife, Amber McElravy was previously sentenced to one year in jail in this case in May of 2023. The two filed for divorce in January of 2023.
