Cortland, West Farmington to receive hundreds of thousands for water infrastructure

The City of Cortland and Village of West Farmington will both be receiving large grants for improvements to their water infrastructure, according to a release from State Senator Sandra O'Brien (R-OH 32)
According to the release, Cortland will receive $284,105 and West Farmington will receive $394,500.
In Cortland, the funds will be used to upgrade well field piping and replace the water line under Main Street.
In West Farmington, the funds will contribute to the installation of a new septic receiving station which, once complete, would service a wide area of communities in Trumbull and surrounding counties.
The funds come from the fifth and latest round of grants from the Ohio Broadband, Utilities, and Infrastructure for Local Development Success (BUILDS) program.
According to the release, the program has provided $500 million so far to support 383 local water projects in all 88 of Ohio's counties.
