Kent State Trumbull to unveil new Military & Veteran Resource Center for students

TRUMBULL COUNTY, OH - Military and veteran students will have a new place to go on the Kent State Trumbull campus come Monday.
The university is hosting the grand opening of 'At Ease,' the campus's first Military & Veteran Resource Center.
It's a place for military and veteran students to access the information they need on the G.I. Bill, financial aid, and the other resources available on campus. These students will also have access to information on campus mental health counseling if needed.
The resource center is the brain child of several staff and faculty members, namely Lori Singer-Bare, Maribeth Eckenrode, Barb Ozimek, and Karen Ronga. Each of these women have a special connection to the military, with Singer-Bare serving over 13 years in the United States Army as a military police officer, drill sergeant, platoon sergeant, and operations sergeant.
"We wanted to create a space for our military and veteran students," Singer-Bare said. "We are so grateful to our military and veteran students, staff and faculty. This is another way we can thank and honor those who are serving or have served this great nation."
The grand opening will happen at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, August 21st, with special guests U.S. Congressman Bill Johnson and the local Honor Guard.
'At Ease' is located in Room 180G in the Gelbke Library, 4314 Mahoning Ave NW, Warren, OH 44483.
