HUBBARD, Ohio - A traffic accident shut down a major road in Hubbard early Thursday.

A vehicle crashed into a pole on West Liberty Street near the Athletic Complex just after 5 a.m.

The crash brought down wires along the roadway.

Firefighters from the Eagle Joint Fire District transported the driver to a local hospital.

Hubbard City Police and the Fire Department secured the scene until Hubbard Electric could restore power and reopen the road to traffic.

There is no information yet on the condition of the victim
