One week before Valley premiere, Taylor Swift concert movie tickets going fast

YOUNGSTOWN - Whether you’re a fan of pop star sensation Taylor Swift or have a loved one who’s a “Swiftie”, if you plan on buying tickets to see her upcoming concert movie at a Valley theatre, you’d better act “swiftly”.
Although the premiere of “Taylor Swift – The Eras Tour” is still a week away, advance tickets are already on sale online. A check of local theatre websites shows that tickets are selling fast for the Friday the 13th opening. As of Friday morning, only one ticket was still available at one local theatre for next Friday's first showing.
According to the film’s distributor, AMC Theatres, ticket pre-sales for the two-hour-45-minute movie have exceeded $100 million for the movie that will debut in more than 8,500 theatres in 100 countries.
It took less than 24 hours for the film to shatter AMC’s U.S. record for the highest ticket sales revenue during a single day in AMC’s 103-year history.
Theatre owners are hoping the Swift movie will do for attendance what the singer has done for NFL football, where her attendance at the Kansas City Chiefs, New York Jets game is credited with making NBC’s broadcast the most-watched Sunday show since the Super Bowl with an average of 27 million TV viewers, according to NBC Sports
No matter which theatre you choose to see the concert tour ticket prices have already been set.
Tickets for adults 12 and over will cost $19.89. Children 11 and younger, as well as seniors 62 and older, will pay $13.13 per ticket. One notable exception is Cinemark Tinseltown in Boardman where adult tickets are $22.89, while children and senior admission costs $16.13.
