Trumbull County Auditor Martha Yoder announced that new property values have been released and tentatively approved by the state on Friday.

The new values are done every six years as mandated by the Ohio Revised Code and are based on the current market value

The reappraisal values began in 2021.

Most properties have seen increases over the last six years, but because of the complexity of property taxes and there are 23 levies on the current fall ballot, the exact effect is not known at this time.

Anyone wishing to look at tentative values can be found on the Trumbull Auditor's website.

Anyone wishing to dispute the tentative property value can schedule an informal hearing through the website or by calling the auditor at 330-675-2895.

Hearings will be held from October 30 through November 3. If you ask for a hearing, bring all documentation to support your claim of the disputed value, including photos, and cost estimates for improvements. The appraiser will discuss new property values only, not taxes.

The new values are tentative until approved by the state.
