The Canfield Girls Cross Country Team, comprised of Sabrina Baskett, Mia Gaffney, Gianna Gamberale, Kaylie Harmon, Linsey Plant, Lauren Runion, and Anna Venetti, has etched their names in the annals of Canfield High School history. Their exceptional dedication and unwavering teamwork have achieved what no girls' team from Canfield High School has accomplished since 1992 – qualification for the State Meet.

Adding to the excitement is senior Blake Baker, an individual standout who has now earned the distinction of qualifying for the state meet for an incredible third consecutive year.

Today, Canfield High School hosted a heartwarming "clap out" event, where students and the athletes' friends and family gathered to wish these exceptional athletes well on their way to the State Meet. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Fire and Police Departments for their special escort as the team embarked on this incredible journey.

The stage is set for this momentous event, scheduled for Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the Fortress Obetz, just south of Columbus (Fortress Obetz 2015 Recreation Trl, Obetz, OH 43207). Canfield fans are bursting with pride in support of these talented athletes who have showcased their grit and determination.

We extend a warm invitation to the community to join us in cheering for our outstanding Canfield Girls Cross Country Team and Blake Baker as they take on the state's best. The entire Canfield High School community stands united in celebration and support as our athletes compete on the grand stage of the State Meet.
