Struthers looking to replace bridge over Wetmore Drive
The city of Struthers is looking to replace the bridge over Wetmore Drive over Yellow Creek, which is looking to partially replace some of the stone culvert, the road on each side of the bridge, sidewalks, curb installations, storm sewer drainage system improvements, and installment of a new decorative bridge railing.
Construction on the project is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2024.
During construction, Wetmore Drive at the bridge site will be closed to traffic for up to 150 consecutive days. Once the project is approved, the detour will utilize Center Street, Lowellville Road, S. Bridge Street, and Poland Avenue.
Construction updates will be posted within the project limits and on the city of Struthers webpage.
Struthers is seeking any comments the public may have regarding the proposed project. Project-related issues the public may wish to comment on include but are not limited to, the project's effect on residents, the local economy, Yellow Creek Park, historic or cultural resources, etc. To ensure your comments are considered during project development, please submit them by January 10, 2024, via the contact information below.
