Weathersfield Police investigating hit and run that seriously injured pedestrian

WEATHERSFIELD TWP., Ohio - The Weathersfield Township Police Department is looking for help identifying the suspect in a pedestrian involved hit and run accident that sent one person to the hospital.
According to a press release, a Niles Police officer was flagged down on December 31 by a person who told them that a person had been struck by a vehicle on West Park Avenue.
Upon further investigation, officers found a man lying on the side of the road. The victim was confused, but they told officers that they were possible hit by a vehicle while riding on their bicycle.
The investigation was turned over to Weathersfield Police, and officers took the man to the hospital where he remains in serious condition.
Officers were able to find evidence on West Park Avenue of a possible crash.
They are looking for a 2013-2016 Chevy Malibu, with front passenger side damage.
