SHARPSVILLE, Pa - Yet another Valley Rite Aid location has announced its closure with its last day of business being early next week.

According to a media representative for Rite Aid, the company's location in Sharpsville will be closing next week with its last day of business being January 16. Following the closure, customers are being redirected to the company's Hermitage location at 1851 East State Street.

This closure is among many other Rite Aid closures around our viewing area with the Howland location just announcing its closure. Other recent closures include East Liverpool, Youngstown (Market Street and Indianola Avenue location and Mahoning and Schenley Avenue) and New Castle.

Rite Aid provided 21 News with a statement which can be read below:

"Rite Aid regularly assesses its retail footprint to ensure we are operating efficiently while meeting the needs of our customers, communities, associates and overall business."
 
"In connection with the court-supervised process, we notified the Court of certain underperforming stores we are closing to further reduce rent expense and strengthen overall financial performance."
 
"At this time, we have not made or confirmed any decisions on additional specific store closures as part of our financial restructuring process."
