Mahoning, Trumbull Counties awarded funding to support residents with developmental disabilities
Two counties in the Mahoning Valley will be receiving funding to support residents with developmental disabilities.
Both Mahoning and Trumbull Counties will be receiving funding from a total of nearly $15 million in ARP funds distributed across 67 Ohio counties to support those with developmental disabilities.
Mahoning County will be receiving $242,100 and Trumbull County will receive $102,500. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine says this funding will give families more access to the communities where they live.
"People with developmental disabilities deserve opportunities, a reliable workforce and an accessible state to live, learn work and succeed in," DeWine said.
These funds are part of $56 million ARP Home and Community-Based Services money allocated to the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) in the State Budget signed in July of 2023.
