State Rep. Loychik to introduce Ohio Property Tax Relief Act
The bill, called the Ohio Property Tax Relief Act, is aimed at helping Ohioans easy the burden of property taxes and more.
Some help may be on the way for folks dealing with property taxes on their homes.
State Rep. Mike Loychik of Bazetta will soon introduce legislation that will provide a temporary expansion for the Homestead expansion, index school districts' 20-mill floor to inflation and stabilize Current Agricultural Use Value (CAUV) program.
Loychik says the bill, called the Ohio Property Tax Relief Act, is aimed at helping Ohioans easy the burden of property taxes and limit the increase of the 20-mill floor to the rate of inflation to prevent school districts from receiving a windfall of unvoted funds when home values rise.
Right now, it's unclear when the bill will be introduced onto the Ohio House of Representative's floor.
