Tickets are now on sale for Mercer County Food Bank's Empty Bowls Fundraiser.

This year's event will be held Thursday, April 25 from 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Hickory VFW Post 6166, located on 5550 E State St, Hermitage, PA 16148.

Empty Bowls is described as an 'artful taste to ending hunger.' 

The event centers around a simple meal of soup and bread that raises much needed funds to feed the people of Mercer County. More than 20 restaurants and organizations will participate making their best soup. The event will also feature a silent auction, basket raffle, live music, and a cash bar.

"Empty Bowls is the food bank's biggest fundraiser," said Rebecca Page, the executive director of Mercer County Food Bank. "All funds remain local to Mercer County to feed our neighbors in need."

Event tickets are $30 dollars and will include soup, bread, dessert, drinks, and a locally handcrafted bowl to take home. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
