Nightly ramp closures to take place on I-376 in Lawrence County

UNION TWP, Pa. - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that nightly closures are scheduled to begin June 10 for a ramp on I-376 in Lawrence County.
Beginning Monday, nightly closures will occur on the ramp from I-376 westbound to Route 422 eastbound, and the ramp from I-376 westbound to the PA Turnpike in Union Township.
The closures will occur weeknights from 7:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. and weekends from 5:00 p.m. until 11:00 a.m. through late June.
Work will include milling and paving operations as well as other miscellaneous work.
During the work period, drivers will have to take the following detour for 422 eastbound:
- Continue westbound on I-376 to the Route 224/ State Street/Poland, OH (Exit 13) exit
- Stay in the right lane to continue toward Poland, OH
- Continue onto Route 224 (State Street)
- Turn left onto the ramp to eastbound I-376
- Take the Butler/eastbound Route 422 (Exit 15) exit
- End detour
Drivers will have to take the following detour for the PA Turnpike:
- Continue westbound on I-376 to the Route 224/ State Street/Poland, OH (Exit 13) exit
- Stay in the right lane to continue toward Poland, OH
- Continue onto Route 224 (State Street)
- Turn left onto the ramp to eastbound I-376
- Follow to the ramp for the PA Turnpike/Pittsburgh
- End detour
This is part of the $8.34 million improvement project to repair the bridges over the roadway and repave I-376 and Route 422.
