During a Sharon police investigation over a shooting in the city on Wednesday night, officers serving a search warrant on a home on Orchard Street, officers found deplorable living conditions and multiple dogs and chickens.

Chief of Police Edward Stabile told 21 News that at approximately 10:30 pm Wednesday, a victim with a gunshot wound showed up at the hospital. 

Officers obtained a search warrant as part of the shooting investigation for a home on Orchard Street. Once inside, officers found four dogs and five chickens in deplorable living conditions.

Code enforcement is on the scene and awaiting authorities to remove the animals.

Chief Stabile said the shooting victim, who was uncooperative with police, is in stable condition.
