YSU students got a chance to get some sound financial help going into the new school semester.

PNC Bank brought its mobile branch to help them work on their finances by helping them apply for credit and debit cards and even loans.

There's a need to help them because of a large influx of international students coming to the campus for their studies.

PNC says students should learn these financial skills now so they have them when they graduate.

"You want to establish credit as soon as you can as a young person," said Ted Schmidt, the regional president of PNC Bank for the Youngstown Market. "We're here to try and hep them understand what that means."

Schmidt adds that it's important for a student not to get too far out there with their debt and understand their cash flow.

"When you're in college, you're going spend money and if you can't keep track of that, it's going to get ahead of you," Schmidt said.

The mobile bank will be back on campus tomorrow, Aug. 16.
