The Ohio Department of Transportation plans to install a new traffic signal at the intersection of SR-46 and Howland Springs Road in Howland next year.

The project, now in the engineering phase,  is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2025. No right-of-way is expected to be needed for this project.

During construction, two-way traffic will be maintained on at least two 11-foot lanes using existing pavement. Lane closures will not be allowed during peak commute times: 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays.

If traffic stoppage is necessary, it should last less than 10 minutes, according to ODOT. Information about lane restrictions and traffic stoppages will be posted before they occur.

Access to all adjacent properties, businesses, and side streets will be maintained throughout the project.

ODOT is seeking any comments the public may have on this project. Any comments should be directed to Sean Carpenter at 330-786-2274 or at [email protected].
