Penguins counting on playing better against Pitt

One thing for sure following Saturday's game at Pittsburgh is Youngstown State should be a better team heading into conference play.
"This game Saturday is going to make us better and its going to prepare us for our league," stated coach Doug Phillips, who's facing the Panthers for the first time as a head coach.
Youngstown State (1-2) is coming off a loss to Duquesne while the Panthers (3-0) rallied to beat West Virginia.
"For a lot of us we have to show toughness and we have to play all four quarters," said offensive lineman Desmeal Leigh.
"We have to focus on the things we need to get better," echoed linebacker Devin Johnson.
The consistent factor is that Penguins have been in-consistent in their first three games.
"You have to build confidence, have to teach, show on film and I wish I had a magic wand to fix things right away," said Phillips.
"It takes time and we're in the process. The sense of urgency in each day is to get better and I believe in our kids," the coach continued.
Kickoff from Acrisure Stadium is 3:30 pm.
