A haunted trail provided by Maniacs in the Woods had been an annual Halloween attraction in Trumbull County for seven years until late August when the group lost the rights to use the property they had used since 2017.

On Friday, the group announced that they have found a new home for their haunted trail, which will open on Fridays and Saturdays beginning October 4.

Adult tickets this year will be $15 and kids (9 years old and under) will be $12. The group said the price increase for this year is out of the organization's control.

The new location is located at Paradise Lakes Family Campground, 1604 Housel Craft Rd., Bristolville and will be open every Friday and Saturday from 7:30 pm to 11 pm. Last ticket sold is at 10:30 p.m.

Previously, the Maniacs used the Bazetta Optimist Club's property until they issued a cease-and-desist order for Venture Crew 4054 and Maniacs in the Woods in August, putting the future of the haunted trail in jeopardy.

Issues arose after the Optimist Club wanted to know how the money raised by the group was used.
