A Warren man who pled guilty to child sex charges in August has learned his fate Wednesday morning.

According to the Trumbull County Prosecutor's Office, 42-year-old Jestin Peterson was sentenced to 10 years to life in prison on one count of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition.

If he is released, Peterson must register as a Tier 3 sex offender four times per year for the rest of his life.

According to an indictment, both of these crimes took place in the summer of 2020 and involved two victims who were 10 and 11 years old respectively.

The indictment does not go into detail of the circumstances leading up to the sexual conduct.
