NEW CASTLE, Pa. - The New Castle Citywide Development Corporation (NCCDC) will be hosting its very first Downtown Development Conference Saturday, October 12.

This free event will take place at The Confluence on East Washington Street from 8 a.m. to noon. Current property owners, potential real estate investors, developers and anyone interested in the revitalization of downtown New Castle is encouraged to attend.

The event will feature a free continental breakfast and will provide the opportunity to network with realtors, developers, NCCDC board members, Forward Lawrence Staff and city and government officials.

Bill Arrowood from the Pennsylvania Downtown Center will be the keynote speaker for the event. Arrowood will provide a statewide perspective on the revitalization of downtowns.

Following Arrowood's address, there will be a panel featuring local developers who have successfully purchased and renovated buildings downtown followed by another panel featuring city and county planning and development staff.

The conference will end with a 15-minute walking tour of downtown New Castle.
