Police believe Poland Township crash to have stemmed from robbery, car chase
POLAND TWP., Ohio - Police are investigating after several people were hospitalized after an SUV and a Jeep crashed in front of a Poland Township home.
A caller told a dispatcher that three or four people were fighting after jumping out of the vehicles and running behind a home on Clingan Road south of Route 224 just before 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The two vehicles struck the house and front porch, which damaged the foundation.
Poland Township Police sources tell 21 News they believe the incident to have stemmed from a robbery that began outside of a nearby church, which led to a chase involving the two vehicles.

The front side of the SUV was damaged, and the Jeep was parked behind it.
