The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has lifted the Tier 4 vehicle restrictions, as well as speed limit restrictions on interstates in the region.

These restrictions, often implemented during severe winter weather events, had limited travel for certain types of vehicles.

While the full vehicle restrictions have been lifted in the northwest, speed restrictions remain in place on several key interstates throughout the state, including the northwest.

Due to foggy conditions, the 45-mph speed restriction with commercial vehicles in the right lane only was also in place the Interstate 80 in Mercer and Venango counties.

As of 10:00 a.m. Thursday, those restrictions have been lifted as well.
