WARREN, Ohio - Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council (NOPEC) will be paying a visit to Warren on Tuesday to discuss potential electric rate increases.

A meeting will be held in Warren Council's Caucus Room at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Third Ward Councilman Greg Greathouse says NOPEC will be at this meeting discussing potential rate increases for Ohio Edison and PJM, who manages high voltage transmission lines in the city.

Greathouse says he does not know how much these potential rate increases will be, but those numbers will be discussed at Tuesday's meeting. Greathouse says he plans to discuss what can be done about potentially offsetting these rate increases.

This meeting is open to the public and Greathouse encourages anyone interested to attend.
